If called upon by your client/boss/peers, can you articulate the methodology of B2B online marketing and explain the strategies behind the numerous stages and components of the whole process? The infographic at the bottom of this blog post might help you out! It is created by Circle Stuido and provides an excellent overview of online B2B marketing.
It breaks down B2B online marketing into six essential components: strategy, content marketing, traffic generation, lead generation, lead management, and analytics and measurement; of which “strategy” being the most important component, since it “is the foundation for your entire online marketing program”. Content marketing is next because “80% of B2B decision makers prefer to get company information in a series of articles versus an advertisement”.
As much as I like this infographic though, I wish it had done a better job in illustrating the inter-dependancy of the six components. The design might make you think it is a linear flow from “strategy” to “analytics and measurement”, but in reality, it is much more complicated than that. So I created a flow chart to compliment this otherwise excellent infographic.
